Farrah Fawcett died, 'cuz cancer claimed her hide, and Michael Jackson's gone (won't write another song). Last came Billy Mays, within a couple days. By that, I mean he's dead; he went and bumped his head.

I don't always write poetry when people die, but the idea kinda hit me while I was in the kitchen. Originally it was simpler, but whatever*...

Weird huh? I'd only heard of Farrah Fawcett before this; I didn't even know what she did. Michael Jackson? Yeah, I knew about him, but I didn't react to it quite as spectacularly as some people I know did... -eyes parents and hides away various forum threads she read regarding other parents' reactions- They both died around the same time, so the press had a field day, of course.

My dad comes in and he's all like, 'Farrah Fawcett's dead,' y'know? I'm just kinda lazing around on my bed and going, "that's nice..." After that my dad adds that Michael Jackson died that day too, and my reaction was, "Huh...I knew the world was ending..." Then, like, maybe 20 minutes ago at most, my dad tells me that 'deaths come in threes' all cryptically and I'm like 'WTF, just tell me who died!' As soon as he mentioned tv and commercials I was like 'OHSHIT,' and my suspicions were confirmed; Billy Mays died. Apparently he was on an airplane when something fell out of the overhead storage and bounced onto his head...or so the rumors say. I guess they'll be canceling that "Pitchmen" show they put up not too long ago, or at least changing the name to "Pitchman."

I'll have to add Michael Jackson and Billy Mays to my 'do-not-parody-unless-you-want-to-be-killed-for-disrespecting-the-dead' list. Steve Irwin's already on there.

Oh well--at least I can still make fun of Stephanie Meyer to my heart's content!
